Sixth Month:
13 February 2004 -12 March 2004.
We're back on the slow growth track; Aditi's weight gain
rate is back to 1/2-3/4 oz/day. She is sleeping 4-5 hours at
a time at night, and naps occasionally during the day, with no set
schedule. However, at almost 4 months adjusted age, Aditi is able
to hold her head up for brief periods, smiles a lot, likes to go for
low-desert hikes during the mild winter (in other words, she sleeps
through them), and can roll on her side. We're hoping she will
kick the acid reflux problem sometime this month and begin to eat more,
and more often. She is beginning to enjoy facing outward when
held; and is taking an interest in what we're eating.

Getting
a
rise with the caterpillar rattle toy.

Feb 17th: We enjoy an 80s day in the neighborhood.
On a
hike to Mt. Wasson in the Tucson Mountains (photo
by Kate). We have now attempted this 10 mile hike 4 or 5 times,
but have yet to make it to the summit with Aditi.
I'm
secure in my
masculinity; I can fold diapers. I can live this one down in
front of my college friends. At least I think I can... Photo by
Kate.
Feb 17th:
Mellowing out with the sun-and-moon toy from Reba and Tony. It's
okay - no batteries.

Feb 17th:
my new favorite toy. It makes noise; I
can grab it; it never gets tired of playing with me.

Feb

neighborhood.

Feb 28th: Practicing yoga moves with Mom.

Feb 29th: Visiting Bob and Sheila in Scottsdale.

Feb 29th:
With my cousin Ida, who's visiting from
Detroit. Our repertoire of baby songs just got bigger.
Mar. 1:
With our neighbor Jen, who watches Aditi a few
times a week. She's here with our other neighbor Jen.
Mar.

Between Jen and Martha we now get some time to go to work and to get
some exercise, catch up on laundry, do dishes, ...
Mar. 3rd:
Trying to help Mom beat Ida at Scrabble. But failing as usual...
Just wait til next year.
Mar

them. Thanks Rachel, Phil and Idris!
