Twelfth Month: 13 August 2004 -12 September 2004.

The month began with a trip East to attend Joel and Emily's wedding in Cobleskill, visit with the Strong Women in Vermont, and meet some more Evanses in Connecticut.  Then it was back to Arizona where we celebrated Aditi's first birthday in Aditi-style -- early, of course -- with our neighbors who have helped us so much this past year, and with Nana and Nani, who came for the event, and to give us a weekend off on our fifth wedding anniversary.  Aditi is mostly walking by holding on to my hand; crawling rarely cuts it any more.  That's tough on your back!  She's getting markedly taller, but with so much running around, is gaining weight at about the same pace; overall, she seems skinnier than a few months ago.  At one year old, she's about 13 1/2 lbs, still a small package.

haircut timeSept. 4th:  Getting my head shaved for my first birthday.  Nani will put the hair into a bread and toss it in the Mississippi for good luck; also, the shave is supposed to make her hair grow in thicker.  Couldn't hurt!























carrot or chocolate?Sept. 4th: Birthday cakes.  We couldn't decide so made one chocolate and one carrot.  Which will Ditu prefer?
